Pony turns butt to me.

Yes I have read the notification.  I have two 5 month old mini ponies just got them  2 weeks ago. Females. One of them started turning her butt towards me. The other night when I entered the run  to feed her . Yes I am  not experience horse trainer , before you ask .  But I want to learn. I did a lot of reading , but yet I'm still confused about the ear positions and butt turned. She never kicked me . Not yet.  She doesn't seem like she's going to. But I want to stop that butt turning . Why does she do that.  She doesn't seem as scared because she comes up to me and I pet her. But them she'll turn and after a it and the the butt is pointed towards me .

she is being a horse and trying to threaten you and warn you that she is seeing if she is higher and you are lower, the next step will be kicking.  You are right about not being experienced, wanting to learn and taking the time to learn is different.  I have a 500 page web site where I try to start the learning process, but you have to put the time in and read it.  Your questions is like asking a 30 year home builder, I want to learn to build a house and you explain it to me?  You don't know what you don't know, so this question is simple to you but very complex to me.
