Question
Do you think becoming a ferrier would  be a stable business to become involved in? Is there a great need for this skill? Are jobs abundant? Thanks

Answer
Hello Rosemary,
I am not sure I can answer this question since I do my trimming part time and am not dependent on income gained from trimming.
However, there are several associations in the US that you could ask to get input from farriers who do this for a living.
Here are a few links to get you started - some are for farriers, some for certification programs for barefoot trimmers.

...as long as there are horses around, we will need farriers and trimmers :-)

Take care,
Christine
