Question
Hello there,
I have a miniature horse and I wanted to know a few things about them. My
first one is that my mini is a mae and I am thinking of maybe breeding her.
Only, some people say it is risky and others say that there would be a 1 in 10
chance my mini would die. I am not exactly sure how tall she is but she is all
black and she is 3 years old. I am guessing that she is 8 1/2 hh. My other
question is that I want to shave her because she is SO hard to brush (of course
you know that they get very poofy) and I want ot be ale to. I have a blanket for
her but if I shave her, I am afraid that she might get too cold and I would
probably have ot keep her blanket on all the time. I would'nt want to do that
because I don't think it is healthy for their fur. Do you think if I shave her,
it would make a differenc?

  Thanks- Samantha

Answer
hi samantha,
breeding a mini is no different then breeding a full size horse. you have all the same risks. if you want to breed her then go ahead and breed her. she is getting fuzzy because winter is comming up. if you do shave her she would have to have the blanket on all the time. i would wait till summer to shave her. good luck with your mini.
