Question
I want to get a Friesian. Can you give me a list of all the grooming tools, tack cleaning and feeding equipment, rugs, traveling equipment and fly and insect repellent products I am going to have to buy?

And what and how much would I have too feed a horse that is around 16hh,25 years old, lives out at grass and is only taken on a 2 hour trail ride two or three times a week (mostly walking and trotting)

Any information you have will be helpful.Pretty please?

Answer
There a lots of web sites out there with good info.  Not sure what you horse experience is, but taking on a horse is a life changing event.  Learning how to control and handle horses is more important than the right grooming tools.

A brush, curry comb, fly spray.  You will need a farrier to do the feet and a vet to give shots each year.  Free food access is best for horses so if you leave food out in pasture the horse will eat what it needs.  Grass hay is better than alfalfa.

Read my site to help you understand horses and their history so you can be safe and help the horse.
