Question
ok well i have a guy friend that gives his horses moldy hay ok and well they are perfectly healthy and i am going to buy hay that is some mold but not really so am i going to hurt my best friend buy doing so?????

Answer
Please don't feed your horse moldy hay!!!  Moldy hay is very toxic to horses.  Just as you wouldn't eat mold, neither should any animal.  Granted, all hay does get a tad moldy and is still fed to horses.  When mold becomes noticeable, that's when to toss it and find better feed.  Moldy hay can create allergies for your horse, or worse colic.

That being said, I understand some people do choose to feed their horses moldy hay anyways.  Sometimes it is more affordable.  The choice is ultimately yours.  I have selected a few articles for you to read.  These will help you to make an educated decision.
