Question
Hello,
We have a 3yr old walker, we bought her last Aug., she was 600+ lbs and 2yrs old.  Very weak.  We took her to a 4H horse camp this weekend and received a lot of comments about her back legs.  When she walks her back legs tend to bounce and dip down, it's difficult to describe, it almost looks as if her legs or hips may be stiff.  I'm wondering if it could be spinal, lack of nutrition from the previous owner, is it ok for my daughter to ride her....any ideas, thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
hi lauri,
well it could be many things, she could have bad stifles, she could need a chiropractor, or it could be in her hoofs. i would have a vet come out and check her and also have an equine chiropractor come out to readjust her body. many horses need this and i highly recommend it. for now i would say yes she can ride her but just easy and no trail riding. perferably no cantering too. good luck
