shouldnt grip too tight

hello. at beginning stage of trotting, why riders are not advised to grip their knees too tight in the saddle flap? does it make their stead move faster?

Hello Rohit,

You should never grip anything too tightly. Use balance to stay centered on the horse. Any grip anywhere will cause your body to become tense and then you cannot use each part independently.

Sounds like your instructor might be a good one.
