applying cow dung to horse hooves

hello sir. may i know when to apply cow dung to horse hooves? my friend a local farrier was saying these words. he was telling to apply cow dung to the hooves for 2 days and then shoe the horse.

Hello Rohit...

NO...  I realize there are "different customs" in many countries.
Manure from cattle is usually high in acidity.  You "want" emoilants
for their hooves !!  Something that will "add" moisture & vitality !!
There must be some different oils You could use a few times a week;
that will add life to the hoof capsule.
