Red Eared Slider Laying alien things!!

Bit of an odd one I'm afraid. My fiance has had a RES for some years which was passed onto him from a friend years ago. Today and yesterday it laid what looked like a whitish-pink egg!! It had a film/skin to it. He hs also passed normal stools too so we're not at all sure what it is! Have you seen anything like this before and how worried should we be?

If it was nice and round, and a large marble-sized, it was an egg. Turtles tend to drop eggs pretty regularly as adults.

If it was laid on dry ground it might be worth trying to hatch out if you are interested, although the odds are like 95 to 1 it is infertile if it was a solo.
