ornate box turle hinges

22 16:38:03

Question
do you have a picture of the hinges on an ornate
or does it look like a horizontal crack across the bottom shell

Answer
I'm not sure I understand your orientation of horizontal ( unless the turtle is being held vertically ), but any box turtle is going to have a hinge on the plastron, perpendicular to the spine; not just ornates. That's what makes them box turtles.

You are mentioning a "crack" though, and that has me concerned. If it looks like a crack then you need to get it to a wildlife rehabilitator or vet. A turtle with a cracked shell often dies of it's injuries without treatment. It is part of their bone structure.
