YES HI MY BOYFRIEND BROUGHT HOME A BABY TURTLE FOR HIS SON BUT UNTIL WE CAN GIVE IT TO HIM I WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT BY CHANCE DO THEY EAT IN THE WILD? HE IS THE CUTIEST LIL THING BUT IM AFRAID HE MIGHT BE REALLY HUNGRY BY NOW

Hello Helen,

In the wild, they usually live on bugs, worms, small snails and plants - pretty much the same things that healthy turtles in captivity eat as well.

Some examples: silkworms, earthworms, crickets, snails, shrimp, slugs, waxworms and mealworms. It's also a good idea to add some Commercial food, like Reptomin, to the diet.
