golden greek tortoise

we have had a golden greek tortoise for four months, 9cm shell top to bottom. we live in saudi arabia. there are no vets in our city. We feed our tortoise lettuce ,not iceburg,with calcium supplement on top. sometimes he has melon and he eats dry leaves and ants when hes wandering around outside, there are no leafy greens growing outside, so we only have access to supermarket greens. Are we feeding him correctly? he seems healthy but occasionally has a runny nose. He spends approx 5hrs outside (40+deg C) every other day. the rest of the time hes inside (35deg approx) is this ok? we would really appreciate your help as we have no-one to ask out here!

I am not feeling well today, so I apologize for my short answer.

That is not the diet I would recommend- it is very 'wet', and the runny nose worries me- a common sign of respiratory infections.
