Painted turtle laid eggs

Question
Today my painted turtle laid eggs! I found my painted turtle in my alley on a super hot sunny day. I think someone found her at a pond and then decided they didn't want her and threw her away. I took her in bought her a tank, rocks, lamp and a log.I've had her for about 3 weeks now... When I came home I found the eggs on the bottom of her tank (she does not have a little beach area just a log so she can bask in the light). I put the eggs in a bowl filled with small pebbles and placed them near the lamp at the bottom of her tank. My question is how do I care for them? and when will I know if they are fertile or not? Should I place them in their own "tank"? should they even be in water?

Answer
Do you know how long the eggs were in the water? Most eggs laid in the water do not survive.

Do you have a UVB light for your turtle?

The eggs shouldn't be in the tank to hatch them you would need to incubate them you can buy an incubator or make a diy incubator.

To know if they are fertile or viable (if they are in the water that is likely not possible) in 10 days - 2 weeks you can put a bright light under the egg and you should see veins.
