i found a turtle at a school

my dad was at work when he found a turtle laying there on the blacktop. it does not look to well one of it's eyes is black and the other i think is shut. it also looks like the left back leg is gone. we know he is still alive because he is moving only if we touch his shell my family doesn't know much about turtles and we are also feeding it spinach and he has not even taken a bite. could you please give me some tips about caring for it and feeding it.

Spinach is not a good food for thurtle nor tortoises so lets get the turtle identified so i can assist.
