Question
i have a 20 gallon long tank with some plants and a water bowl. Can a small box turtle only about three to four inches long and a larger whites tree frog live together in this?

Answer
No. The box turtle should not even be in a tank this small. Box turtles are highly intelligent and will get depressed and stressed if confined in small spaces. They need room to explore and exercise, and that is why I don't adopt box turtles out to anyone who does not have an outdoor pen! You should research at boxturtlesite.info and aboxturtle.com. If this is a wild box turtle that you caught, I rather recommend that you just let it go. Box turtles may live 80 or more years in the wild and their populations are not what they once were. In captivity it is highly likely you are only going to keep it alive for a fraction of it's normal life span.

Additionally, I don't know what species or subspecies this box turtle is, and they have differing habitat preferences. If that weren't enough....the white's tree frog is not even native to the same part of the world if you have a north American box turtle. This fact alone makes cohabitation a NO-NO.
