snake coming in tuesday

Question
I ordered me a snake from the pet store I work at.
I'll be getting him in 2 days.
I have a 20 gallon glass tank.
Coconut Bark Bedding.
small water dish (use to have a lizzard) cleaned!
I have a over head light (i don't think it is for heating)
I have a heating pad.

One problem is.
I have my cage on a 25 year old tv.
which is a wooden box with a t.v. in the middle and speakers.
I'm worried that the heating pad might damage my t.v.
I don't have anything instructions on the product because it's years old (never has failed)
will it be ok. Or should I find glass to place under it??

if you know anything about a black and white California King Snake. Please feel free to share with me.

Samie, use the extra glass if you're worried OR blow up the TV and get a flat screen man!  LOL  

Everything else looks good save one thing.  I don't know about that bedding.  I personally use one of the following: aspen bedding, newspaper or indoor/outdoor carpet.  Many of the other beddings can cause problems.  I don't know of any specific problems w/ coconut but I wouldn't chance it.  Good Luck!
