iquana eye injury

Question
I have two iguanas one has just recently developed swelling in the eye it may be possible that the other tail whipped it.  I have been applying warm compresses on it do you have any other suggestions?

Oh wow, that would not feel good.
Does the eye appear infected yet?  
I would continue the warm compresses for now.  Unless it is looking infected, there is some discharge from the eye yet.  You could look into some antibiotic eye ointment if you feel it is needed.
Also, you could get some sterile saline solution to put in the eye as well to help with any irritation in the area.
