Question
QUESTION: I am wondering if you can help me with a couple of questions regarding golden geckos. I have had a male for more than 2yrs and a female for more than 6yrs. I would like to breed them, but since I've had them for quite a while now I'm wondering why they haven't bred yet. Is there anything else i can do to help them with their breeding; i have everything they need regarding temp and humidity.
I also want to know if i can get different geckos(preferably house geckos) and have them in the same terrarium with the goldies.

Thank you very much!

ANSWER: The smaller house geckos would probably end up as a snack so that's not a good idea.  To breed any reptile they have to be hibernated appropriately prior to breeding.  I would recommend doing some more research on them in some books on Geckos.  There are a few I can recommend if you like.

QUESTION: I'd appreciate it if you could recommend books.
Are there any other geckos that i could possibly put in the same tank with mine besides house or Tokay geckos?

Answer
You might possibly try some Day Geckos but for specific species again I would have to refer you to do some research on your own as I personally don't recommend keeping different species together as there maybe some parasites/diseases which can cross species and cause issues.  Here is a link to our library which has affiliate links to amazon.com with books we recommend and own ourselves.  http://reptileapartment.com/our-library/ This will help tremendously especially the last Gecko book by Julie Bergman.
