Questionhi pam, i have a female brown basilisk, iv had her for 5 yrs now she is about 14" in length, iv just bought a male green basilisk he 4 years old but twice her size, can they be kept together and if so, is it possible they can bread?
Answer I would not have them live together. Although they come from the same part of the world, they are still omnivores, and the larger one may still consider the smaller as a good meal. Also bringing in a new animal, you have to quarantine the new male for 60-90 days anyway. The probability of mating is there, as they are iguanids, but unless she has a growth spurt, I wouldn't try it.
