Question
Hi, i was wondering what i should put my beardie in while traveling and just any other tips. cuz im moving to Florida, and i live in Edmonton right now, so it would be a couple days of driving. and i heard that i shouldn't ever put them in a glass tank while traveling. so im really confused haha.

Answer
I have traveled with beardies from NY to Florida in the car.  Each has his/her own carrier.  I use small pet carriers that are soft sided and lined.  Then a baby blanket they can snuggle in.  I take foldable reptariums made by Apogee. And of course their lights.  When we stopped, I took each in turn out on a leash to get sun (in summer) and stopped at pet friendly hotels and motels.  There I set up lights for warming and feeding, two at a time, on in the bathroom and one in the main part.  They all got a nice drink of water or a bath.  They stay in reptariums for the feeding and warming, and they need two hours to digest.  If you are planning to leave in winter, get 40 hour heat packs, more than enough for each beardie.  If they are brumating, they'll be fine just in the carriers and with their metabolism so slow, they won't need food for just two days travel.  They will still need the heat packs depending on where in the car they will be.
Pet carriers are pretty much found in any petstore.
