Questioncan an igiunas & a red bearded dragon live together in a tank, 50 gallon tank...I have just recently recieved a red bearded dragon & have owned an igiuna for about a year now... They are both in seperate tanks but wondered if they could live together. Thanks
AnswerHello Heather,
No, unfortanately an iguana & a bearded dragon cannot live together.
Their husbandry & setup are completely opposite. The iguanas do not need high basking temperatures but need high humidity. The bearded dragons need higher basking temperatures & lower humidity.
Besides, iguanas get much larger than the bearded dragons do, & they need much larger tanks. A full grown iguana needs at least an enclosure the size of 6 feet wide by 6 feet long, & 6 to 7 feet tall at least, or larger.
A bearded dragon needs approximately a 4 feet long by 2 feet wide by 2 feet tall.
