Question
I have two green anoles and a baby fence lizard and grey tree frogs they all live
together the anoles and frogs do fine together but I just put the fence lizard in
there two days ago I was wondering will they be ok.  Is the fence lizards
aggressive.  Can they all live together safely.

Answer
Hi Bethany, I would suggest that you arrange for other accomodations for the fence lizard. Anoles and grey (or green) treefrogs co-habitate quite well together. They are compatible sizes, share a natural native range and similar environments. As for the fence lizard,  I'm not sure which species you are referring to exactly but I'm assuming it is one of the Sceloporus genus. They tend to inhabit drier areas of rock, sand or scrub forest. They also get a bit too big for your community tank. Even if he never made an attempt to eat your anoles, your anoles would be under constant stress from his presence. The anoles and fence lizard are also both diurnal (active during the day) which means they will be directly competing for food. Community tanks do better if the animals occupy different spaces (terrestrial and arboreal) and/or different periods of activity as your frogs and anoles currently do.
