Question
Hi,
I have a pregnant leopard gecko, and I'm not sure if it's normal for her to sleep day and night.  Its been about 6 weeks since she was with the male.  She ate really good until a week ag.  She stopped eating, and this past Friday night, she completely destoyed the tank with her digging.  I thought everything was fine and I'd see eggs soon.  But since then she's just been sleeping.  During the day she sleeps in her regular hide, and at night she sleeps in her moist hide. She comes out to drink and to lick at the calcium in her dish. Yesterday she ate for the first time in a week. She was excited about eating, but she went right back to sleeping after she was finished.  She hasn't done anymore digging since Friday, it's Monday now.  Is all of this normal?  Should I be worried?

Answer
You should be worried IF she has been pregnant for more than 30 days.  If that is the case she may be egg-bound.  You should be able to see the eggs through her belly.  If she has been gravid longer than 30 days she'll need to see a vet.  They will induce her with a drug called oxytocin.
