Question
QUESTION: hello my name is jeff. i bought a baby leopar gecko about 4 days ago. i am very worryed about him i love him soo much he is my first reptile  and he hasnt eaten since i have got him i think hes stressed but im not sure he barley ever comes out of his hideing spot. my girlfriend bought it for me and he was moved quiet a bit but knw hes home and not been moved i have handled him a little not a whole lot. i am very concerd about him not eating or being active. please help me i love this little guy very much!

ANSWER: This just may be a little relocation stress.  Give him some time to adjust to his new home.  Offer him food but don't force anything, he should adjust in a few days.  After two weeks of normal eating, have him checked by the vet.  Stress can cause a rise in gut parasites and if the levels get too high it can cause runny, very smelly poop, and the vet can treat him for that.

QUESTION: ok. thank you. but what would you consider very runny smelly poop? like you can smell it from a foot away or what? i find poop every morning and its very small  like a small dot. and how would you know if he has parasites? and he does seem to let me hold him a little better
by the way thank you so very much for answering these questions :) i hope im not getting anoying with asking all this

Answer
Well, tiny babies do equal tiny poops.  If the poop is a regular well formed feces then just keep an eye on it.  If it gets formless and liquidy, like diarrhea, and you notice a smell when you walk into the room, that's when parasites are high and should be treated.  The two week check-up is good anyway to make sure he's eating enough and over-all health.  Like a well-baby check up.
