QuestionI have a 5 year old male mini lop who is not neutured and I recently agreed to taking a friend's 3 year old
femal dwarf who is being spayed this weekend. I believe my male is too old to be neutered and I am wondering if I can keep them together as long as they get along in a large outdoor hutch?
AnswerActually you don't want to keep them together. 5 is only on the low end of middle age for a rabbit, and since he is not neutered he will spend much of his time trying to mate with her.
If you can divide the hutch so they are separated, then ues, they could both live there, and he would not be bothering her so much.
I knew a rabbit who was 11 who still would jump anything that held still, so I have no doubts your 5 year old will do his best.
