Question
I have a spayed 6 month rabbit.  She is litterbox trained but she insists on leaving droppings in my front hall.  I am guessing that she is trying to mark that space as her own.  It is not possible to close that space off to her.  Do you have any suggestions on keeping her from claiming that space?

Answer
Some bunnies do this to mark the space as theirs, and others do it because they don't realize that it's a problem for you.  Some bunnies will consistently urinate in the litterbox but poop pretty much anywhere.

Since she is litterbox trained already, you might try some of the ideas listed at http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabcare.html#litter

Also, you might consider putting a small litterbox in the hall, maybe she can't get back to her regular litterbox when she feels the urge.
