Mini-lop Kindling

Question
Hi!

I have a mini-lop who has successfully raised 5 litters in 2 years.  She is very consistent, like I'm sure most rabbits are, when she is about to kindle.  She makes a nest with hay that I provide in the nest box and hours before she delivers she pulls hair and lines the box.  About 2 months ago I went to her cage and she had delivered bunnies.  She had not pulled hair and they were all in the front part of her cage, scattered and dead.  I was in shock.  I came to the conclusion that she most have miscarried, even though they were full term.   I bred her again following the advice of a book.  This wednesday morning I noticed she had pulled some her, so I gave her hay and normally she immediately gathers it in her mouth and starts the nest, but she did not touch it.  A red flag went off and I thought about what had happened  before.  When I returned from work I was horrified to find the bunnies again scattered everywhere.  Fortunately this time 7 of the 9 were still alive.  I gathered them and put them in the nest box hoping that she would come to her senses and take care of them.  The next morning I was relieved to find that she had pulled hair and placed it in the nest box.  I am assuming she is feeding them as well, they seem okay.  I don't know why after being a perfect mother she is doing this.  So this is why I am writing to you.  Have you had any experience with this.

Thanks

Answer
hi michelle-i suspect she is fed up with being mated and does not like the idea of bringing up more babies.i would not breed her again.
one thing you have to know is that if a baby gets dragged out the nest ,the doe will not put it back -this is common and you have to put it back in yourselve.
all does are the same.
sometimes does will kill the babies but I think the other litter was born out the nest and she just left them.
