Ants on Cage

Question
Hi! My rabbits live outside and there's a problem with ants. The ants always crawl into their food or on their shed or in their floor. Is there an ant repellent out there that is safe for rabbits?

Answer
A natural repellant, such as boric acid, might get rid of the ants but still be safe for the rabbits.  There are other products that contain essential oils that may do the same job.  You can read more about boric acid at http://www.exoticbird.com/gillian/boric.html  You can also find other suggestions at http://www.biconet.com/crawlers.html

Just make sure the rabbits can't get to it and the ants should start disappearing.
