Mini Rex Doe

our doe had 7 babies (her first)about a month and a half ago, all of them died as she did not care for them.  It appears she is pregnant again but we have no idea when it occured.  She pulled fur out about a week ago and we seperated her from the male but since then nothing has happened, could she not be pregnant but just getting fat and how can we tell?  Also, do rabbits hold unto their babies when it is could outside (similar to horses)?

hi Lisa i suspect your doe was a first time mother ,some doesdo loose all the baby's from the first litter but after that they rear them ok
once mated the doe must be left on her own with the buck kept well away.
pregnant does are very aggressive normally and this is the only way you can tell if they are pregnant.
she may have had a phantom pregnancy which is quite common in rabbits , they do all the right things but in the end nothing happens.
does will not hold onto the babies outside and if a baby gets out the nest the doe will not put it back in she will just leave it , so you have to place it back in the nest  -when i have baby's i check every night to make sure they are ll in the nest.
