Sick Rabbit :(

Question
Well, no major changes to report.  I cleaned the cage and all toys/dishes have been cleaned.  She now has diarhea, but at least she is going to the bathroom.  What else can I do to help my poor bunny?  She is being fed Romaine Lettuce and a high oat % food.  She is still drinking a lot of water, which I think is good.

Thanks for your help

-----Question-----
She has been shedding for about a week or so, there are no bald spots, but her under coat (dark dark hair as opposed to her cinnamon color normaly) is showing in some spots.  We got her when she was just a few months old from a breeder, and ever since then her diet has been primarily alfalfa pellets, with an occasional treat mixed in (commerical rabbit food).  She is not acting like her self she just sits there and looks at us or she hides in her 'cave' and doesn't come out.  Our cat has been laying next to her cage, I guess he can tell something is wrong.  She will not eat carrots or even chew on paper towel rolls like she normally does.  I will cut out the lettuce (Is the diarreah true for all types of lettuce?  I thought it was just icebeerg and we only feed her romaine lettuce every now and then).  Anything else you need to know?  Thanks for your help

-----Question-----
I have a dwarf Netherland, she is about 2 1/2 years old.  Recently she has been losing a lot of hair, I figured that she is just shedding (a lot).  This morning I go to give her a treat, and she won't take it.  This is not normal at all, she loves her treats!!  Well then I notice that her litter box is fairly empty and that as well is not normal at all.  She won't eat her food but has been drinking a lot of water.  The only thing she will eat is lettuce.  I try not to give her lettuce that often as i have heard this can be bad for her.  but since it is the only thing she will eat I have given her quite a bit today.  don't really know what else to do for her.  I need to clean out her cage, but I am afraid that the stress of all her things being moved around will be bad for her.  any suggestions or reccomendations?

Thanks

Hi Brandon,
1st there are some things I need to ask you...how long has your rabbit been this way? Is your rabbit getting worse? Is the shedding of fur causing bald spots? Is your rabbit still acting like itself? (lively and alert)
I wouldn't recommend feeding her lettuce as this causes rabbits to have diarrhea.  Try giving her/him some oats, maybe a little stale wholewheat bread(they love this)or some alphalpha/hay. I wish I could give you more answers right now but I need the info on the questions I asked...thanks Brandon, please reply back for some further info
p.s don't be afraid to change the cage, if your rabbit is sick it will need a clean environment....Elizabeth

Brandon,
if your rabboit is still not eating and showing no signs of improvement by now, a vet may be needed.  If the rabbit isn't passing stools, and the poor appetite is still there,he/she could have an obstruction somewhere inside her/him which is an emergency.
Yes, you're right about the lettuce, romaine is ok,carrot tops, dandelion greens, and apple skins(washed)
try these treats and see...I hope all goes well, and if you're rabbit hasn't improved by today,I recommend seeing  a vet, possibly to check for and obstruction,or parasite.  Good luck Brandon, let me know what happens,Elizabeth
