Red Bump

Hello.  I was petting my bunny, an 11 week old Holland Lop, and I felt a tiny bump on his right shoulder blade.  I pushed the hair out of the way to take a look and I saw a red dot.  It wasn't bleeding or anything, it just looked like a red circular dot and I can feel a definte bump, much alike the bumps in the Braille writing system.  I felt other parts of his body but didn't notice anything else.  Could it be just a scab (though I have no idea how he cut himself there) or is it like a bug or something (I keep him indoors)?

It could be a flea or mosquito bite.  It could be a scab.  It could be a little fibroma (benign fibrous growth) under his skin. Without actually seeing it, I can't really tell for sure.

Keep an eye on it for a week or so.  If it doesn't go away, or if it changes/grows, then find a good rabbit vet here:

and have the vet examine and prescribe any treatment deemed necessary.  Hope that helps!
