Loss of fur around eyes

Question
Recently one of my rabbits had been awfully frightened by a large squirrel that lives in my backyard. That squirrel always starts screeching at the sight of my rabbits. My rabbits don't go outside now and they are always balling themselves tightly together as if lying an egg or something. Is something wrong?

-----Question-----
Hello,
My three/four moth old New Zealand rabbits seem to lose some fur around their eyes but no anywhere else. Is something wrong? One more questions, do squirrels attack rabbits? And are rabbits afraid of squirrels?
-----Answer-----
They are probably rubbing it off on their cage/feeder. I have one New Zealand buck that does this all the time. If you don't find dryness or scabs, then I wouldn't worry, this is probably the same thing for your rabbits as it is for my buck.
As for your squirrel question; I don't see a squirrel attacking rabbits. My rabbits aren't afraid of dogs, cats or anything, so i would say that they aren't afraid of Squirrels either.

Answer
Ok, I now see what you mean about them being scared. The squirrel is seeing them as an invasion of it's territory. It barking is it's way of trying to scare the intruder away. The rabbits are not used to such loud highpitched noise, so the squirrel barking is probably scaring them a bit. Squrriel barking in the wild also can mean danger and it is a warning to other squrriels in the area. I would say a rabbit knows that barking means this, so naturally they would be scared too even if this is not what the squirrel is meaning.
