4 week old baby mounting!

Question
Hi there, four weeks ago one of my new rabbits surprisingly gave birth to three healthy babies. However, one of the babies has began to mount and want to mate with the other two. Is it too early to separate them or should I leave her to it?! Hope you can help. Thanks!

Answer
It is too early to separate them. You should wait until they are atleast 6-8 weeks old. Rabbits cannot produce until 3-4 months old, so you still have time. Likly the one mounting is a little buck, and he is trying things out. HE will not be fully developed until 12 weeks or a little older. Just make sure to separate them all into thier own cages at about 10 weeks at the most and you will be safe.
