Answer
Hi Jan,

sorry to hear she was attacked by another rabbit.

Unfortunately, these kind of negative experiences can alter a rabbit's outlook on things permanently.  It becomes part of the rabbit's defense mechanism.  While we wish that they may not feel this way, it is understandable and also unfortunately, sometimes when you expose them to a situation that is similar to when the trauma happened (in your case trying to breed again) you reinforce them the other way.

My advice to you is not to put her in a situation where she feels like she did when she suffered this trauma, or fears that she will be attacked again.  It is still very fresh and she is very much on guard not to let strange rabbits (nice or not) near her.  You may just wind up reinforcing her to 'say no'.  We have had a similar occurence with bonding a male and female (not breeding) and the female got stressed out.  We called it quits trying, separated them, and it took a couple of years before she could even be very happy to 'play' with each other across a single gate.
