Question
My bunnies poop has changed color, it is now much lighter brown, I'm worried and can't find anything on the web. The only diet change was brand of timothy hay, which they receive unlimited amounts of, pellets are given 1/4 cup a day and no changes there. help?!

Answer
Hi Julia

As long as the poo is shaped uniformly and not mushy there isn't really much to worry about.  The diet you are giving the rabbit is just fine.  The hay may have some other type of grass in it that is causing the different colors.  All timothy hay is safe for rabbits but every field where timothy hay is grown has other blades of grass also.  We have a field of timothy hay in our back yard and you can never tell what kind of other grass is going to grow in there.  If you look at the bales from 2 different cuttings you can still tell its timothy hay but sometimes you can see long blades of grass and sometimes you can see oat grass.  It just depends where it is grown.

Again, its really not to much to worry about.  Just keep an eye on the bunny.  If the poo becomes mushy or not formed then you need to take him to a doctor for an exam.

Good luck and if you have any more questions please let me know
