my poor house bunny

my bunny has been not feeling well latly. Eating is normal, just finished molting. vet did X-rays kept him all day and said it was just gas. but now he has started to lose patches of fur around his mouth....and drools alot which smells horrible...do you have any ideas what could be wrong?  thanks you for any help Kathie

Dear Kathie,

You need a vet who is more experienced with rabbits and their dental problems.  Please find one here:

Your bunny may have molar spurs, a tooth root infection, or other oral problem, but the drooling and bad smell are clearly signs that something is very wrong in his mouth, and making him miserable.  Please read:

for more complete information, but please get him to a more expereienced rabbit vet ASAP.
