Red and orange Urine

Question
My rabbit is 6 weeks old. I have had her for two days, and today her urine looked red and some other urine looked orange. Is that ok?

Dear Grace,

Rabbit urine can vary in color from yellow to orange, red or brown depending on the rabbit's diet, medication, state of hydration, and even emotions.  In the absence of other signs of illness, it's usually not a concern, unless it can be positively confirmed that the red  is blood.
