Question
Hello, I have just found out that martin rabbit pellets come in two kinds one made with alfalfa and one made with timothy, so I will feed the alfalfa based one until there around eight months and then swich to the timothy based one.... is this better then mixing martin alfalfa with kaytee timothy when there older?

Answer
I would actually use the alfalfa pellets until they reach a year old, to make sure that they've achieved their full growth, then switch to timothy-based.

Or, you can mix the 2 together, if the rabbit will eat both and not just pick out the alfalfa pellets.

When you do transition, mix half and half, then slowly add more of the new kind until they are fully over to the new feed.
