Pink growths on rabbit

Question
My daughter has a 7 month old female rabbit, as we were playing with her and I was clipping her claws; I noticed 2 pink growths down by her back end. They are the same size and on both sides by the inside of her legs. They are long, pink and soft to the touch. Is this something serious that we should be worried about? Or is this just part of reproduction cycle?

Answer
Dear Lisa,

Well, the good news is that you don't have to have "her" spayed, which is expensive.  The less good news is that you still will have to have your boy bunny neutered at some point:

(I hope s/he has a unisex name that's easy to flip to the male version!)

In short, the growths are his testicles.  :)
