Will witch hazel kill ear mites?

It is ok to use witch hazel on ear mites and is it effective early on or as a preventative?

Witch hazel will dry things out, but probably will not kill the mites.  For that, you need something like Revolution (selamectin) or ivermectin from your rabbit-savvy vet:
