Question
How young is too young to use ivermectin? We bought our 2nd pot-belly @ the market, he is quite small, only 10 days old, so we are bottle feeding him. But I wanted to know when he could be wormed? Is there a certain age or pounds? Thank you.

Answer
Ivermectin can be used after 8 weeks. Otherwise you risk neurological damage. They tend to aspirate on bottle feeding and get milk in the lungs, causing pneumonia.....pigs should always be "pan fed", not bottle fed.
This pig should be with its mother until 8 weeks.
Weaning a pig early can cause physical and behavioral problems later on.
Please go back to the market  and raise hell!
Did they tell you the average weight for a pb is 135"?
