He has 3 spots now that he runs to and goes on and I won't know what to do iv cleaned them with soap and water and then vinegar and he still continues to potty there hwlp

Answer
Once a pig learns something, it's hard to get them to change. Mr Bacon has learned to potty in three wrong spots, he needs to learn new habits. Consistency is the key, if he gets away with the old bad habit just once, he'll keep trying.

If you can't keep him secured in the kitchen, or blocked out of the living room, you may need to find a different room to keep him in while you are away, like a laundry room or large bathroom. A piggy proof garage can work BUT you MUST disable the garage door opener and lock the garage door. Many pigs have accidentally escaped when the garage door opens.

Clean the carpet with a product designed to eliminate urine odor, or have it professionally cleaned. Pigs have very sensitive noses. People might not smell the odor, but Mr Bacon will and he will remember that he pottied there. If possible, re-arrange the furniture so that he can not get to the problem spots at all.

Take him outside to potty the instant you come home. Do not let him in the living room unless you are there with him. Take him outside to potty before you let him in the living room. If he's in that room for more than 1 hour, take him out to potty. Young pigs need to potty frequently, take him out to potty before every meal, after every meal, as soon as he wakes up in the morning or from a nap. He should be going potty every two hours or so, when he gets older this can stretch to every three hours or so.

I recommend Priscilla Valentines book Pot-Bellied Pig Behavior and Training. Pris really understands how pigs think, and she goes into potty training in much more detail than I can cover here. Her book is available from her website valentinesperformingpigs.com and amazon.com.
