my pig  has a swollen vulua does this mean she is on heat ,how
long does this last for and how often.pixie is very unsettled
making loud honking noises. she seems to be always looking for
food thanks stephanie

Female pot-bellied pigs go into heat approximately every three weeks. Heat generally lasts about 3 or 4 days, but can be longer or shorter. A swollen vulva is one indication of heat. Female pigs in heat often become anxious or agitated. They may "forget" their potty training. They may choose a person or other animal as their "mate", and may aggressively root at them or jump on them.
