Question
Hello there,
I am yet to adopt my two female kittens, but plan to do so when I have their homing sorted out. I am pre-empting problems with tumours, and wondered if you would recommend getting them insured, and if you think this would be worth it and would work out better for all parties in the end?

Answer
That's kinda your decision.. yes, they usually do end up with tumors; however the location, size, and the age of the pet when they develop these tumors all make a difference in treatment. Some girls won't develop them until 2 years old; at which point they may be having other health issues and your only recourse is euthanasia anyway. Some develop them at 6 months old and I can see how the insurance would be really handy.

I'm sorry; I wish I could help more, but thats really an individual opinion sort of deal. Good luck! And congrats on adopting!!
