bump on my rats tail

Hi, their is a little bump on my rat's tail and i cant figure it out. my dad says it an ingrown hair or ache but i want a second opinion. their is only 1 of the bumps, when i touch it my rat doesn't seem to mind and its some what small. its about an inch or something from the base. please help me figure it out! thank you!!

Hello, I think your dad is right it might be because of an ingrown hair or something else that's minor. Some rats will have a small bump on their tail. It doesn't mean your rat is sick or anything. If the bump starts growing than it's possible that it could be a tumor and I would take your rat to a vet. As of right now, I don't think I would worry too much about the bump right now.
