My rat needs help

my rat Connie recently got a lump on her right leg but it isnt on the leg exactly its inbetween her leg and her tail and its the size of her feet. she is six months old and has respiratory infection (both rats have it) but Connie is older than the other one. I dont know what the lump is (Connie is my first ever rat and i have had her for 1 month now) my first thought was the lump was cancer but i cant really tell and the lump isnt soft. i have no idea what to do because she is so lovely and my other rat simba would be so sad if she died as would i but they are very close Connie is like Simba's mother.

The good news is most of the time its not cancer. Honestly it may even be an abscess. Since your new to rats, this may also benefit you to learn all about rat care and what to expect etc...  You may consider finding a good vet that sees rats which I can help you find one if you tell me where your exact location is.
