Question
QUESTION: Hi Sandra,
My rat, Latte, has recently been getting porphyrn staining around her eyes. It hasn't been very bad but i still want to get her some medicine, she is also probably a little stressed because i have been neglecting my duties of playing with them lately (exam week) D= i hate not being able to be with them a lot lol. but when she comes out the staining 'disappears'. Is this something i should get her treated for? and what would be best to give her?
Thank you for your help.

ANSWER: Does she usually have porphyrin or is this the first time she has had it?

QUESTION: this is the first time she has ever had it. i think it was because i was stressed, as soon as i finished my chemistry exam i wasn't stressed anymore and the porhyrin stains went away. its so weird how they can do that!! haha, but should i still get anything for her for if she gets it again?

Answer
No, I wouldnt give her anything if she is just getting it from picking up on your negative energy.   I dont know if you ever read any of my responses to other people, but when some people that get new rats for the first time and the rat bites them, the owner gets scared of the rat and wears gloves etc... and I warn them that the rat will indeed pick up on the negative energy and realize the owner fears him and it makes bonding even harder.  They do feed off of our feelings, its true.  I have sat and cried before, for instance, mourning over the loss of Templeton a few months back. Santana knew something was wrong and he tried to climb up my uh....uh...."chest" and I gave him a boost, and he came right to my cheeks and touched and licked my tears.  He laid down on my chest and did not move, as if to comfort me. He bruxed and bruxed as I rubbed his ears and head.  He is not this cuddly at all unless he is tired, so he did this to comfort me, I really truly believe that!
