Question
I put a box of tissues in the cage with our two female rats because I read that they like to tear them up and use them to nest in, but they look like they are actually eating some of it.  Is this ok, or should I take the tissues out.

They may take a taste and stop once they see its nothing fun to eat. However, if you think they are eating alot of it, remove them.
My rats used to try to eat the care fresh bedding so I stopped using it right away. They would sit and hold a piece of it and eat like it was a treat!
Silly rats!
