My New Pet Rats

My male rat Pablo (I'm not sure what species he is) has been sneezing and scratching a lot. Also, he has these little parts in his coat that are shorter than everything else. I mean it's not horrible but it might be relevant. My father has mentioned that the Pablo also doesn't have much energy. Frankly, in the two day I've had him and Lola, he seems good in the energy department.

P.S. we can't afford to go to a vet

What diet does he eat? This sounds diet related.  high protein can cause all sorts of skin problems etc....

Please read my website, sandyscrittercity.com and learn about how to care for rats properly. I am sure you will learn alot from reading through it. Focus on proper diet. Skin irritation can stem from poor diet.
