Cuts on hairless rats.

Question
So the story is that I have 2 hairless rats which have
shared a cage now for about 8 months. Today I am at work and
my girlfriend calls me and tells me that 1 of the rats
attacked the other and now there are large cuts that are
kind of deep into the muscle area. I can post pictures if
necessecary but is there anything I should be doing for it.
There is a petco next to my work and 1 of our regulars work
their and had come in and said to do nothing and let the rat
heal its self. I just do not want to make a poor decision
with this.

I worry about infection....dont listen to anyone that works at a Petstore chain.  If its that deep, it may have needed a few stitches, but if too much time has passed, it may be too late for that. however, you need to watch for infection.  How does it look? Is it healing? Bleeding or oozing?
